Bangladesh Film Artistes Association Election Latest News i.e. Results are available. Actor Misha Saudagar has won the post of president for the term 2024-26 in this election. Actor Monowar Hossain Dipzal has won the post of general secretary.
Apart from Misha-Dipjol, Masum Parvez Rubel and DA Taib won the post of vice-president. Armaan won the post of Deputy General Secretary. Joy Chowdhury has won the post of organizing secretary. Alexander Bo was elected as International Affairs Editor. Jackie Alamgir won the office and publicity secretary post. Mamnoon Imon of Koli-Nipun panel has been selected as culture and sports editor. Kamal was elected as treasurer.
Besides, Sucharita, Rozina, Aliraj, Subrata, Dilara Yasmin, Shahnoor, Nana Shah, Ratna Kabir, Chunnu and Poli and Soni Rahman of the Kali-Nipun panel were elected as 11 members of the Executive Council.
Voting started at 9:30 am on Friday (April 19). Lasts till 5:30 pm. 476 artists voted in a festive atmosphere.
There were 570 total voters in this election. 48 candidates from two panels, including six independents, are contesting in this election to form a 21-member committee. In an alliance between the two rival panels were the two actors Misha and Deepjol from Dhakai film Daput. Mahmood Koli, the hero of the golden days, and Nipun Akhtar, the heroine, fought from another panel.
In this election, Chief Election Commissioner was Khorshed Alam Khosru and members were AJ Rana and BH Nishan.
