| China's southern province of Guangdong has been hit by severe floods |
Heavy rains in southern China have warned of the worst floods in a century. Four people have died in the floods so far and 10 others are missing. China's state media Xinhua reported this information in a report.
The report said the worst hit was the southern region of Guangdong, which is China's most populous province. Meanwhile, more than 60,000 residents have been evacuated to safer places.
Officials in Guangdong have urged departments and municipalities at the local level to start making emergency plans to avoid natural disasters. Disaster response funds and other items have also been provided quickly to ensure that people affected by disasters have access to food, clothing, water and safe shelter.
